Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers

are historically Irish farm dogs. No royalty here, but a steady, fun loving, often silly disposition, that endears them to many a dog lover. The breed standard calls for a "medium-sized, hardy, well balanced sporting terrier". Wheatens do well in an urban environment when they have the proper attention.  That attention is a time commitment to socialize, train, exercise and groom the dog.
